About Us

StoryZetu started back in 2011 as a blog where we posted our own stories and poetry. With time, it expanded to accommodate more writers from Kenya and beyond.

We are a collective of young ambitious artists based in Nairobi Kenya. The team is multidisciplinary and everyone is pursuing their own careers in theatre, TV, film, literature, music, advertising and so on. We have collaborated on different projects such as Jalada Africa’s Upright Revolution, the critically acclaimed We Won’t Forget – which was staged at the Kampala International Theatre Festival in November 2015 and at the Ubumuntu Festival in Rwanda in July 2017; and most recently Too Early For Birds- a series delving into stories from Kenya’s history.
